Jazlyn Bain, LMSW

Jazlyn is an intensively trained DBT therapist, who provides individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, teenagers, and their families. She specializes in the areas of Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, self-injury (NSSI), active and passive suicidal ideation, self-isolation, and poor self-image. Jazlyn integrates behavioral skills into her treatment of these disorders to provide evidence-based therapy for patients. Jazlyn is trained in EMDR which assists patients process and recover from traumatic experiences.

Jazlyn is from Virginia and attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington for undergraduate and graduate school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Her prior work experience includes intensive in-home clinical work for a non-profit organization in Wilmington, North Carolina. She later moved to Atlanta and began working at a non-profit facility as a behavioral specialist and became a day program therapist for an Experiential DBT Partial Hospitalization Program. 

Jazlyn easily engages with her clients in treatment. She is warm, friendly and relatable to clients, especially children and adolescents. She empowers and advocates for her clients to find a voice when invalidated. She operates from the lens that the therapist and client are equal in the therapeutic alliance. 

Jazlyn serves as the secretary for the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work (GSCSW). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and her cat. She enjoys watching movies and trying new restaurants in the Atlanta area.

Jazlyn is currently under the supervision of Dr. Kimberly Vay, LPC, CPCS, and Sarah Donnini, LCSW, CCS.
